We’re all about putting delicious food on the table as quickly and painlessly as possible – and even more so when it comes to holidays. We know these special days of the year are often filled with family and friends. They’re also a time to make holiday-specific memories such as watching the Macy’s Day Parade on Thanksgiving, opening presents on Christmas and hunting for eggs on Easter. Who wants to miss out on all this fun because they’re in the kitchen cooking?
Since we’ve already done a lot of the work of mashed potatoes – washing, peeling, cooking and mashing real Idaho® potatoes – it doesn’t get much easier, or faster, than that but we loved this idea from Jessica at One Sweet Appetite. She makes our Signature Russet Mashed Potatoes ahead of time and holds them all nice and warm in a crock pot until all the Easter baskets have been explored and the eggs have been found. They’re ready when you are to continue the memory making at a dinner table surrounded by the ones you love.
