It’s full on soup season and while we have lots of soup recipes here on our website, such as Baby Reds with Garlic and Parmesan Creamy Soup, Clam and Corn Chowder and Spicy Indian Potato Bean Soup, we also have our line of Steakhouse Soups. With five flavors – Cheddar Potato Soup, Creamy Potato Soup, Loaded Potato Soup, Cheddar Broccoli Potato Soup and Three Cheese Chipotle Soup – there’s lots of variety to choose from. And they are easy… really easy. You just add water and hot soup is ready and on the table in no time. And we all know there’s those nights when you’re doing good to get anything on the table, right?
But for those times when you have even a few minutes more, check out this recipe from Simply Made Recipes for Homemade Parmesan Croutons. Mixed with olive oil, garlic, herbs and Parmesan it gives bread that’s past its prime a new lease on life. Instead of serving a baguette along side the soup, these croutons share the bowl to add a lovely crunchy texture as well as a little burst of flavor.
Have more croutons than soup? Well now that’s a great problem to have. Use them to top salads and casseroles! And don’t be surprised if you end up eating a few handfuls of them on their own!
